Jute is a long, soft, shiny vegetable fiber that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. It is the second most important vegetable fiber after cotton and the major part of jute produced in Bangladesh. It is used chiefly to make cloth for wrapping bales of raw cotton, and to make sacks and coarse cloth. The fibers are also woven into curtains, chair coverings, carpets, area rugs, hessian cloth, and backing for linoleum.
Fairgo Trading is all about helping the local community in Bangladesh to use local materials to make products that the western world will buy.
