I could start with the fact that these are all handrawn illustrations but I think I might start with the fact that these feel so nice to play with. They are linen cards and carry a smooth coating that makes them really pleasurable to hold. From my experience, you only really realise why some cards are so cheap when you start to play with them and they stick and just plain don't work properly. And it has nothing to do with my lack of card playing prowess!!
This is a 54 card deck of hand illustrated playing cards, Circus Kids, City Sights and Burlesque.
Circus Kids - some of the many characters that make up a circus troupe! Each suit represents a different set of skilled children, with spades being paired acts, diamonds being clowns, clubs being magicians and hearts being acrobatics & fortune telling. The jokers are a little girl dressed up as a unicorn and a little boy dressed up as a lion. The back design is a pair of vintage circus tickets.
Burlesque - The court cards each feature a black and white illustration of a burlesque dancer standing in red or black smoke depending on their suit. The lettering, numbering and suit emblems are all drawn in art deco style!
City Sights - Featuring highly detailed ink drawings of the major landmarks in Sydney, Paris, London and New York. Every card is unique, and was designed, hand-drawn and painted. The jokers are the respective coats of arms for Australia, France, England and America and the back design is a traveller's crest!
All sets are professionally manufactured on 310gsm premium French linen, and come shrink-wrapped inside a durable, clear plastic box.
