These are lovely bowls in various sizes. Natural base with a navy top. Great in the kitchen, bathroom, on the dining table, pretty much wherever you need a basket. Jute is such a versatile fibre
Jute is a long, soft, shiny vegetable fiber that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. In this instance they have managed to smooth out the threads to create a beautiful soft feel.
To help the local bangladesh community and save the industry from synthetic aggression Bangalozy promote some of the cottage based industries. The projects are run by a few artisans and while jute is being replaced by synthetic materials in many cases, it is so important to support a product that is grown locally and sustainably.
